Nvidia Expands Share Buyback Programme by $150 Billion

Jarida Report

Nvidia’s board of directors has authorised an additional $150 billion for the company’s share repurchase programme, significantly expanding its plans to return capital to shareholders.

The new authorisation increases the total amount remaining under Nvidia’s existing buyback programme to $235 billion, the company said on Monday.

Nvidia expects to carry out the remaining share repurchases through fiscal year 2028.

Founder and CEO Jensen Huang said the company’s continued growth is being driven by a major technological shift towards artificial intelligence and accelerated computing.

Huang said Nvidia’s strong cash generation gives the company the financial capacity both to invest in technologies supporting the AI transformation and return capital to shareholders.

He added that the expanded repurchase authorisation reflects Nvidia’s confidence in the company’s long-term growth opportunities as demand for AI computing infrastructure continues to reshape the technology industry.
