Pakistan’s military leadership on Monday reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the country’s rightful share of water in accordance with government directives and national interests.
The commitment was made during the 276th Corps Commanders’ Conference at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, chaired by Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The forum reviewed recent Indian statements regarding the Indus Waters Treaty and reiterated the National Security Committee’s position adopted on April 24, 2025.
According to the ISPR, the military leadership expressed its resolve to take all necessary measures to safeguard Pakistan’s water rights in line with government policy and the aspirations of the Pakistani people.
