Amina, the wife of suspect Muhammad Rahim was shot and killed by him in the Mohalla Khwaja Gharib Nawaz area of Multan. According to the police, the deceased, had gone to stay at her parents’ house after a domestic dispute. She had also filed a khula petition against him in the family court.
Police reported that, allegedly due to the dispute, Muhammad Rahim entered his in-laws’ home and opened fire, killing Amina on the spot and seriously injuring her mother, Abida Mai. The suspect escaped the scene, and a search is underway to apprehend him.
Abida Mai was shifted to Nishtar Hospital for treatment, while Amina’s body was taken to the hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Multan City Police Officer Sadiq Ali Dogar assured that the suspect would be arrested soon.
