Iran Claims To Have Received A Response From US On The 14 Point Plan Through Pakistan; Washington Yet To Confirm

Jarida Report

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said the United States has conveyed its response to Iran’s proposed 14-point plan through Pakistan, adding that the reply is currently under review in Tehran.

The United States has yet to formally confirm whether it has responded to Tehran’s proposal, though President Donald Trump has indicated reservations about the plan.

In an interview with Israel’s Kan News on Sunday, Trump reportedly described the Iranian proposal as “unacceptable.” Iranian state media, however, said the 14-point peace plan calls on Washington to withdraw forces from near Iran’s borders, lift its naval blockade of Iranian ports, and ensure a cessation of hostilities, including Israel’s military operations in Lebanon. The proposal also seeks a comprehensive agreement within 30 days and urges both sides to prioritise ending the conflict rather than prolonging the current ceasefire.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghaei was quoted as saying that “at this stage, we do not have nuclear negotiations,” referring to a key US demand. Tehran has consistently denied pursuing nuclear weapons, maintaining that its programme is for peaceful purposes, despite concerns over its enrichment activities.
