According to media reports, the statement comes at a time when two people were killed in an Israeli strike, while Hezbollah also claimed to have shot down an Israeli drone.
US President Donald Trump had announced a three-week extension of the ceasefire on Thursday after hosting Israeli and Lebanese ambassadors at the White House. The ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel was due to expire on Sunday.
