Gold Prices Rebound to Record High in Global, Local Markets

Gold prices surged in both the international and domestic markets on Thursday after five consecutive trading sessions, reaching a new record high in the global bullion market.

In the international market, the price of gold rose by $91 to $4,063 per ounce.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the domestic price of gold per tola increased by Rs9,100 to Rs428,736, while the price of 10 grams climbed Rs7,802 to Rs367,572.

Silver prices also moved higher, with the price per tola rising Rs203 to Rs6,445, while the rate for 10 grams increased Rs174 to Rs5,525.

The gains came a day after both gold and silver declined in local and international markets, with gold falling $52 to $3,972 per ounce on Wednesday.
