Security forces successfully killed eight terrorists during an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on November 21st, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed Saturday.
The operation targeted ‘Fitna-al-Khawarij’—a term the state uses for terrorists, including those from the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the elements, who were involved in attacks against security forces and civilians.
This IBO is part of the intensified, intelligence-driven campaign Azm-i-Istehkam, aimed at dismantling terror networks and enhancing regional peace. The action follows a recent surge in terror activities in KP, including a foiled IED plot and an attack on a peace committee office in the same area.
