Russian drone attacks have once more hit the Ukrainian frontline city of Kramatorsk, worsening the condition of the civilians in the area. People were talking about hours of nighttime bombing, and explosions shook the districts, and weak infrastructure was destroyed. Local officials said they had seen homes, power lines and small businesses destroyed, but no official death count has been announced. The attacks are considered to be a part of the escalated drone campaigns Moscow launches against cities that are not located near battlefields.
The destruction did not stop the defiance of Kramatorsk residents, as volunteers organized the provision of relief. The attacks indicate that Ukraine urgently requires improved air defence, with some military assistance being discussed by Western partners.
