Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Wednesday chaired the sixth meeting of the High-Level Committee to review final preparations for the 9th Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ministerial Conference on Women, which Pakistan will host on July 12-13.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the meeting reviewed the conference programme, agenda, protocol, security and logistical arrangements, media strategy, inter-ministerial coordination and other organisational matters.
The committee also discussed steps to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the conference, which is expected to bring together representatives from the OIC’s 57 member states to enhance cooperation on women’s empowerment, inclusion and sustainable development.
