Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Sunday announced extended weekly holidays for the people of the province, giving residents an opportunity to enjoy a long break to celebrate Basant. In a statement shared on the social media platform X, the chief minister said that people across Punjab would be able to benefit from extended holidays in the coming days.
She explained that February 5 will be observed as Kashmir Day, followed by a provincial holiday on February 6 on account of Basant. The holidays will then continue with the regular Saturday and Sunday weekend. The chief minister expressed the hope that the people of Punjab would use this time to relax, rejuvenate, and spend the break positively and enjoyably.
