ISLAMABAD: Investigators have uncovered details of another alleged fraud case involving Noman, the arrested suspect in the case concerning the death of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) gold medallist Laiba Ijaz, investigation sources said.
According to the sources, Noman is wanted in a separate fraud case registered in Mansehra, in which he and his alleged accomplices are accused of defrauding a family of Rs8.5 million by promising government jobs for six children.
The suspects allegedly provided the family with fake appointment letters for government positions. The documents were later found to be forged when the family attempted to verify them, sources said.
The affected family subsequently registered a case against Noman and his alleged accomplices. Following the case registration, Noman reportedly went into hiding, and a court declared him a proclaimed offender.
The family has now approached Islamabad police and submitted the allegedly forged appointment letters, according to investigation sources. The allegations in the separate fraud case remain subject to legal proceedings.
