China Launches Three Remote Sensing Satellites in Latest Space Mission

Jarida Report

China successfully launched three remote sensing satellites into orbit on Thursday, expanding its space-based capabilities for scientific research and monitoring the electromagnetic environment.

The satellites, designated Yaogan-51 07-09, were carried into space aboard a Long March-2C rocket from the Xichang Satellite Launch Centre in southwestern China’s Sichuan province, according to state-run Xinhua news agency.

Chinese authorities confirmed that all three satellites entered their designated orbits following the launch.

The spacecraft will be used primarily for scientific experiments and electromagnetic environment detection, supporting China’s ongoing research and observation programmes.

Thursday’s launch marked the 675th mission undertaken by China’s Long March rocket family, which has played a central role in the country’s space programme.

The latest mission followed another launch on October 25, when China deployed a group of low-Earth-orbit internet satellites from a launch facility in the southern island province of Hainan.

That operation marked the 674th flight of the Long March series.

China has continued to expand its satellite infrastructure through missions supporting scientific observation, communications and other space-based applications.

The successful deployment of the Yaogan-51 satellites adds to the country’s growing orbital network as it pursues further advances in space technology and satellite research.
