TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the country was pursuing diplomatic channels to defend its rights and safeguard its national interests at both domestic and international levels, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported on Tuesday.
Araghchi made the remarks during a meeting with representatives of Tehran Province in parliament on Monday, as part of ongoing consultations between lawmakers and the Foreign Ministry on foreign policy and national security matters.
During the meeting, the foreign minister discussed recent regional and international developments and briefed lawmakers on the ministry’s key measures and initiatives aimed at protecting Iran’s national interests.
Meanwhile, Iran is finalising its response to US views on an Iranian proposal, according to the report’s accompanying headline, which cited Iran’s deputy foreign minister.
