Police Admit Legal Error As Andrew Mountbatten Search Warrants Quashed

Jarida Report

LONDON: British police have acknowledged that search warrants obtained for properties linked to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor were issued unlawfully and must be quashed.

Police said the investigation into King Charles’ younger brother remains ongoing.

Mountbatten-Windsor, 66, was arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office in connection with his relationship with the late US financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Police subsequently searched properties linked to him in Sandringham and Windsor.

The arrest was an unprecedented step involving a senior member of the British royal family in modern times.
