The federal government on Friday announced fresh reductions in petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) prices, with the revised rates remaining in effect from September 19 to September 21.
According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs1.65 per litre to Rs389.14, while HSD has been cut by Rs0.88 per litre to Rs424.04.
The latest adjustment comes just a day after another revision in fuel prices.
For September 18, the government had reduced petrol by 43 paisas per litre to Rs390.79 while raising HSD by Rs3.47 to Rs424.92 per litre.
The new rates therefore represent a further reduction in petrol prices and a partial reversal of the previous day’s increase in diesel prices.
