Lahore: Mahnoor Safdar, daughter of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, married Azan Jabbar, son of industrialist Jabbar Khalid, in an intimate nikah ceremony at the Sharif family’s Jati Umra residence on Saturday.
The couple had largely kept their relationship and wedding preparations away from the public eye. The nikah followed a similarly private format, attended by close family members and a limited number of relatives and friends.
Photographers Sara Idress and Muaz Ali Qureshi later shared photographs from the ceremony on Instagram, providing a glimpse of the newlyweds and the celebrations.
Mahnoor wore an ensemble by Nida Azwer Atelier for the occasion.
A video from the celebrations also showed several light-hearted and affectionate moments between the newlyweds.
Major weddings in the Sharif family have traditionally attracted considerable public attention and often featured larger gatherings and multiple events. Mahnoor’s ceremony, however, remained relatively low-key, consistent with her limited public profile.
The wedding comes months after the marriage of Mahnoor’s brother, Junaid Safdar, whose celebrations included a series of events at the Sharif family’s Jati Umra estate.
