Dublin: US President Donald Trump has dismissed a planned meeting between Iran and Gulf states aimed at discussing the Strait of Hormuz amid the ongoing conflict between Washington and Tehran.
Asked by reporters during a visit to Ireland about the talks scheduled to take place in Oman on Monday, Trump said: “I don’t care. That’s up to them.”
The proposed meeting comes amid heightened regional tensions over the strategically important Strait of Hormuz and the continuing US-Iran conflict.
