Israel Repeatedly Warned US of Alleged Iranian Plots to Assassinate Trump

Jarida Report

Israel has repeatedly warned the United States over the past year about alleged Iranian plots to assassinate President Donald Trump, although US intelligence agencies were unable to independently verify the information, according to current and former US officials.

The warnings were shared with US intelligence agencies, while some were conveyed directly by Israeli officials to senior members of the White House, the officials said.

The alleged plots included scenarios involving a sniper attack and the recruitment of an individual to stab Trump during a large public event.

According to the officials, the warnings began ahead of the 12-day war in June 2025 and became more frequent before the United States entered the conflict with Iran in February.

The most detailed warning reportedly came ahead of the NATO summit in Ankara in July, when Israeli officials briefed the White House on intelligence suggesting that Iran might attempt to target Trump while he travelled aboard Air Force One.

One scenario raised by Israeli intelligence involved the possible use of a shoulder-launched missile against the presidential aircraft, according to people familiar with the matter.

The warnings contributed to heightened security concerns surrounding Trump’s travel, although US intelligence officials were unable to independently substantiate the alleged Iranian plots.
