YouTube Premium to Include Peacock Under New NBCUniversal Partnership

Jarida Report

Comcast’s NBCUniversal and Google-owned YouTube have announced a new partnership that will make Peacock Premium available to YouTube Premium subscribers in the United States beginning in early 2027.

The companies did not disclose pricing details or say whether Peacock Premium would be included for all YouTube Premium subscribers or if the move would result in a subscription price increase.

Under the agreement, subscribers will be able to access Peacock content directly within the YouTube platform, including live sports such as the National Football League (NFL), Major League Baseball (MLB), National Basketball Association (NBA), the Summer and Winter Olympic Games, and Premier League football.

Peacock Premium, which currently costs $11 per month as a standalone service, will also be offered as a separate add-on through YouTube Primetime Channels later this summer. Peacock Premium Plus has been available through the service since late June.

The deal also extends NBCUniversal’s distribution agreement with YouTube TV, ensuring continued carriage of the company’s broadcast, cable, news and sports channels.

“This partnership brings NBCUniversal’s world-class content and iconic franchises to YouTube’s unmatched scale and global platforms,” Comcast Co-Chief Executive Officer Mike Cavanagh said in a statement.

Matt Strauss, Chairman of NBCUniversal Media Group, said the agreement would help Peacock reach millions of YouTube Premium subscribers and support the streaming service’s long-term growth.

The companies also said they would expand their collaboration on advertising technology through FreeWheel, NBCUniversal’s advertising management platform, to improve advertising capabilities and increase monetisation across their services.

Outside the United States, Universal Plus and Hayu will become available through YouTube Premium in selected international markets.

The partnership further provides for selected live sporting events produced by NBC Sports to be made available on YouTube, while extending the distribution of YouTube, YouTube TV and YouTube Premium across Comcast’s Xfinity and Xumo platforms.
