French music streaming platform Deezer said on Tuesday that AI-generated tracks now account for more than half of all new music uploaded daily, marking the first time they have exceeded the 50% threshold.
In a statement, the company said AI-generated music reached a peak in June, with an average of 90,000 tracks uploaded each month, representing more than 50% of all new music added to the platform.
Deezer announced that it will remove AI-generated tracks used to generate fraudulent streams, as well as AI-created songs that have not been played for at least six months.
“We have reached a pivotal moment, but we have the technology to keep track of the development, and an ambition to do what’s right,” said Alexis Lanternier, Deezer’s Chief Executive Officer.
Lanternier said the company was taking further steps to safeguard the rights of artists and songwriters, adding that Deezer has been at the forefront of combating streaming fraud and reducing the impact of AI-generated music on royalty payments for nearly two years.
The company noted that its AI detection tool has been in operation since the beginning of 2025.
According to Deezer, it became the first—and so far only—music streaming platform to explicitly label AI-generated music in June 2025. The service said it detected and tagged more than 13.4 million AI-generated tracks during 2025.
