Türkiye Sends Relief Aid to Earthquake-Hit Venezuela

Jarida Report

Türkiye has delivered search and rescue equipment, emergency supplies, food and hygiene kits to Venezuela following the June 24 twin earthquakes that have killed at least 2,655 people and caused widespread destruction.

In a post on NSosyal on Saturday, Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said the assistance was provided through the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) as part of Türkiye’s continued support for Venezuela.

Ersoy said Türkiye would continue providing shelter and basic living supplies in the coming days, stressing that humanitarian assistance remains a priority beyond times of disaster.

“As we have done in Venezuela until now, we will continue to maintain our solidarity in every area where it is needed,” he said, expressing hope that the country would recover from the devastation as quickly as possible.
