Another case of Mpox has been reported in Karachi, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the city to 10.
A 40-year-old resident of Gulistan-e-Jauhar tested positive for the virus and has been admitted to the isolation ward at NIPA Hospital for treatment and monitoring.
Hospital authorities said the patient had no recent travel history, raising concerns about local transmission.
The infection was confirmed through a PCR test, according to the hospital administration.
Officials added that seven of Karachi’s reported mpox cases have so far been detected at NIPA Hospital.
