Tourists Advised Not to Travel to Azad Kashmir From June 5-20

The Azad Kashmir government has issued a travel advisory for tourists ahead of a protest call for June 9, asking visitors to avoid entering the region from June 5 to June 20.

The government has also requested tourists and others already present in Azad Kashmir to leave the region’s borders by the evening of June 5 to avoid inconvenience.

According to the advisory, tourists should avoid travel and entry to Azad Kashmir from June 5 to June 20 in view of the protest call issued for June 9. The government said people who have arrived in Azad Kashmir for tourism or other purposes should leave by the evening of June 5.

Officials said the step has been taken so visitors do not face any problems during the security measures linked to the protest.
