President Donald Trump has indicated that the United States will maintain a naval blockade on Iran until Tehran agrees to a deal addressing Washington’s concerns over its nuclear programme.
In an interview with Axios, Trump described the blockade as a highly effective measure, suggesting it exerts greater pressure than direct military strikes. He claimed the restrictions are significantly impacting Iran and are intended to prevent the country from acquiring nuclear weapons.
Trump said Iran is seeking a resolution but warned that the blockade would remain in place unless a satisfactory agreement is reached.
