The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain-windstorms and thunderstorms at scattered places in the upper parts of the country during the next 24 hours, while hot and dry conditions are expected to persist in most other regions.
According to the Met Office, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir are likely to receive rain-thunderstorms at scattered locations. Isolated rain-windstorms are also expected in Islamabad, upper and central Punjab, northeast Balochistan, and upper Sindh. In Islamabad and surrounding areas, partly cloudy weather with chances of rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms has been predicted.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts will experience partly cloudy conditions, with rain-thunderstorms likely at isolated places, including Dir, Chitral, Swat, Malam Jabba, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Bajaur, Khyber, Kohat, Parachinar, Peshawar, Dera Ismail Khan, Waziristan, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, and Kurram. Punjab is expected to witness rain-windstorms and thunderstorms in several districts, including Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Multan, Faisalabad, Lahore, Sialkot and adjoining areas. Murree and Galliyat may receive light rain accompanied by gusty winds.
