CM Afridi Orders Timely Completion of KP Safe Cities Project

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has directed authorities to complete the Safe Cities project strictly according to the prescribed timelines. Chairing a meeting on the progress of the Safe Cities project, the chief minister instructed officials to swiftly complete preparatory work for extending the project to the remaining divisional headquarters and the newly merged districts.

Sohail Afridi also ordered the submission of proposals for establishing a Safe Cities Authority and directed that 24-hour solar energy supply be ensured for the project in the merged districts. During the briefing, it was informed that the Peshawar Safe City project would be completed by January 31, 2026. Under the initiative, cameras are being installed at 88 locations in Dera Ismail Khan, 76 in Bannu, and 47 in Lakki Marwat, with completion also set for January 31. PC-I documents have been prepared for Safe Cities projects in Karak, Tank, and North Waziristan.
