Unofficial Results for Punjab Bar Council Elections Announced

LAHORE – The results for the highly anticipated Punjab Bar Council (PBC) elections for the Lahore seats have been finalized, with Mian Asif securing the top position after a vigorous campaign.

 

Out of the 77 candidates, Mian Asif led the field with an impressive 6,185 votes, placing him at the head of the 16 members elected to represent the Lahore constituency on the provincial council. The election was marked by a tight race, especially among the top contenders.

 

Awais Bhatti secured the second position with 6,084 votes, followed closely by Adeel Ehsan, who garnered 6,074 votes. Shahzad Khan Kakar, a former Vice-President of the Lahore Bar Association grabbed the fourth spot with an impressive tally of 6031 votes. The top five candidates all successfully crossed the 6,000-vote mark, underscoring the competitive nature of the election. Sumaira Hussain also secured a decisive victory, landing in the fifth spot with 6,027 votes.

 

Based on the final tally for the 16 available Lahore seats, all candidates on the provided list have been successfully elected. The 16th and final seat was secured by Irfan Tarrar, who received 5,394 votes.

Here are the newly elected members for the Punjab Bar Council from the Lahore seat, along with their respective vote counts:

These 16 members will now represent the extensive legal fraternity of Lahore in the Punjab Bar Council, the primary regulatory and administrative body for lawyers in the province.

 

*The conclusive results will be announced by the Advocate General (Punjab) on Thursday.
