Prince Andrew of Britain said he would give up using his Duke of York title after several years of intense criticism regarding his links to late American sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. A court ruling last year added to his problems when it was revealed that the British Government believed one of his close business associates was a Chinese spy. Prince Andrew said at the time that he stopped all contact with him.
He said in a statement, “with his Majesty’s agreement, we feel I must go a step further. i will therefore no longer use the honours which have been conferred upon me. As i have said previously, i vigorously deny the accusations against me.”
