The reported figures of arrests have been confirmed by the Punjab police chief, they have arrested 2,716 people after they launched an operation to clear out TLP protestors.
The whereabouts of Saad Hussain Rizvi, the TLP chief are unknown. Lahore Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Faisal Kamran said Saad Rizvi escaped during the police operation. He added that the police have managed to trace his location and he would soon be arrested.
