At least 10 individuals were killed and dozens injured in a suicide bombing against a paramilitary headquarters in Quetta late Tuesday. Police officials reported that the attacker drove explosives into the facility before being neutralized by security forces. Gunshot within the compound went on as several attackers tried to gain access into the compound with four being reportedly shot dead in the process. The devastating explosion destroyed local structures and caused a path of destruction in the local communities.
Hospitals in Quetta were put into high alert as victims flooded in. No immediate claim of responsibility has been made by any group, but authorities believe that extremist groups are involved in Balochistan. The incident highlights the deteriorating security situation in Pakistan with an increase in militancy
