Diesel costs reduce by 12.84 rupees: The Finance Division notified of an important development, the price of petroleum will remain unchanged for the next fortnight. As the celebrations of Independence simmer down and the wave of patriotism neutralises—the government decided to announce the price decrease of petrol prices to remain unchanged. This has been a fairly common occurrence for the government,but, the surge of hope was a result of the price of high-speed diesel having been decreased by 12.84 rupees, setting the new rate at 272.99 rupees per liter.

The price of Light Diesel Oil has been informed to decrease by 8.20 rupees bringing it down to 162.37 rupees. The new price of Superior Kerosene Oil is 178.27 rupees after a decrease of 7.19 rupees. Although the most commonly used fuel by the masses remains at an alarmingly high rate, there is some positive effect of such an important change.
The new prices will come into effect from August 16, 2025.
