Indian Separatist Group Accuses Army of Killing Top Commanders in Myanmar Airstrikes

Jarida Report

An Indian separatist group, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of Manipur, claims that the Indian military carried out deadly airstrikes inside Myanmar, killing several of its senior leaders. The group stated that at least five top members were killed in the attack, which reportedly took place on July 7 near the India-Myanmar border.

While the Indian army has not commented, the separatists alleged that drones were used and local civilians were also harmed. Myanmar’s military junta has remained silent on the incident. The alleged strikes signal an intensifying crackdown by India on northeastern insurgents believed to be operating from bases in Myanmar.
