Khyber Teaching Hospital to Launch Free Organ Transplant Institute Within Two Months

The Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) in Peshawar is set to inaugurate its Institute of Bone Marrow, Kidney, and Liver Transplant within two months. This initiative aims to provide free transplant services to patients in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reducing the need for costly procedures in private hospitals or travel to other provinces. The provincial government has allocated Rs500 million for the project and plans to expand awareness about organ donation, including establishing facilitation centers and promoting deceased donor programs.
