At least 12 people are believed to have died after a plane crashed near an airport in the US state of Missouri on Sunday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the aircraft went down near Butler Memorial Airport in the city of Butler.
“At this time, reports indicate all occupants (12 total) have perished,” the agency said in a post on X.
Authorities have not yet released details about the aircraft or the circumstances surrounding the crash. An investigation is expected to determine the cause of the accident.
Butler is located about 60 miles south of Kansas City.
