Stronger Trade Cooperation Sought by Pakistan with Qatar, Says President Zardari

President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen cooperation with Qatar in the fields of investment and trade, reaffirming Islamabad’s commitment to deepening bilateral relations. The president noted that under the leadership of the Qatari Amir, Qatar has achieved remarkable development and progress. He also praised Qatar’s constructive and positive role at both regional and international levels.

President Zardari emphasized that Pakistan is keen to expand collaboration with Qatar in key sectors, including investment, trade, energy, agriculture, and technology.

He highlighted that partnerships in these areas could bring mutual economic benefits and contribute to sustainable development in both countries. He further said that manpower cooperation and strong people-to-people contacts form the backbone of Pakistan–Qatar relations.
