Special Committee Formed to Assess Losses in Lethal Chaman Phatak Blast

The Quetta district administration constituted a special committee on Monday to evaluate the financial and structural damages caused by the powerful explosion near Chaman Phatak, which claimed 14 lives and left many others injured.

According to an official notification, the committee was directed to begin work immediately and carry out a comprehensive survey of the affected area. The panel would assess damage to residential homes, shops, vehicles, commercial establishments, and other properties impacted by the blast.

The Quetta deputy commissioner, who also serves as chairman of the District Compensation Committee, formed the panel to ensure a fair, transparent, and accurate evaluation of losses suffered by local residents and business owners.

The Quetta assistant commissioner (city) was appointed as the head of the committee. Its members included senior officials from the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Communication and Works Department, Metropolitan Corporation Quetta, and Agricultural Engineering Department.
