RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has introduced a revised visa process allowing certain highly skilled foreign workers to apply for entry permits for their family members alongside their own employment visas.
The updated system, introduced by the Ministries of Interior, Foreign Affairs and Human Resources and Social Development, removes several steps previously required for family sponsorship.
Under the new process, eligible workers can submit family admission applications with their initial employment documents, while their families can obtain longer-term residence permits after entering the Kingdom.
The changes are part of Saudi Arabia’s efforts under Vision 2030 to attract and retain skilled professionals in fields including science, healthcare and engineering.
