President Asif Ali Zardari has arrived in the United Kingdom for a private visit and is expected to remain in London for approximately two weeks, according to media reports citing sources.
During his stay, the president is expected to undergo a medical checkup and hold meetings with several delegations.
Zardari is accompanied by Senator Saleem Mandviwalla and his personal physician, Dr Asim Hussain.
The trip marks Zardari’s first visit to Britain in nearly six years, according to sources, and comes as other senior figures from the Pakistan Peoples Party are also expected to travel to London.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is likely to arrive in the British capital in the coming days, potentially providing an opportunity for meetings involving senior party leaders and members of the Zardari family.
No official political engagements have been announced as part of the president’s visit, which has been described as private.
