The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has released its initial assessment of the recent earthquakes in Balochistan, reporting that 125 houses were damaged and 19 people sustained injuries in Musakhel district.
Relief efforts remain underway in Kingri tehsil, where medical camps have been set up to provide treatment to the injured. Authorities are also distributing tents, bedding and other essential relief items, along with solar lights, gas cylinders, mats and mosquito nets, to affected families.
The PDMA said it is working closely with the district administration to monitor the situation, while a comprehensive damage assessment is being carried out to determine the full extent of the losses.
Meanwhile, six moderate earthquakes have been recorded across different parts of Pakistan over the past two days.
Seismologists believe the tremors felt in Pakistan are linked to seismic waves generated by the recent Venezuela earthquake.
