Parliamentary body of PTI suggests countrywide protests

Jarida Report

Appreciating the resignations of the judges of the top court and urging the judiciary to stand on its feet, the PTI’s Parliamentary Committee has suggested holding countrywide protests against the passage of the 27th Constitutional Amendment. However, the suggestions will be discussed in a meeting of the opposition alliance Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-i-Pakistan (TTAP) on Friday (today), followed by a press conference. Former NA speaker Qaiser, while talking to Dawn, said during the meeting, proposals were sought to devise a strategy after the passage of the 27th Amendment.

“The participants [of the meeting] unanimously agreed that the incumbent government is not capable to run the country. At the same time there is an economic crisis, miserable law and order situation and the country is at the verge of a civil war,” he said.
