Pakistani Students Win Top Honours at Global Model UN Singapore 2026

Jarida Report

Students from Westminster Islamabad have secured the World Champions and Best Delegation awards at Global Model UN Singapore 2026, marking Pakistan’s 80th Independence Day with an impressive international achievement.

A 10-member delegation represented Pakistan at the conference, organised by the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA). The event brought together more than 700 students representing over 50 countries.

The Pakistani delegation delivered a strong performance, with eight of the 10 students receiving Best Diplomacy Awards. Two Westminster students were also selected among just 12 participants from around the world shortlisted to deliver plenary speeches at the conference’s opening ceremony.

The achievement represents a significant improvement from Westminster’s debut at the event in 2025, when three of its six participating students received Best Diplomacy Awards.

Pakistan remains among the younger participants at the international forum, with several members of this year’s Westminster delegation also ranking among the youngest delegates at the conference.

The results highlight the rapid progress made by the Pakistani delegation within just a year and demonstrate the ability of young Pakistani students to compete successfully in diplomacy, public speaking and international affairs on a global stage.
