Pakistan Condemns Drone Attacks on Saudi Oil Pipeline

Jarida Report

Islamabad: Pakistan on Saturday strongly condemned drone attacks that damaged Saudi Arabia’s East-West oil pipeline and injured civilians in the Riyadh and Madinah regions.

In a statement, the Foreign Office described the attacks on civilian infrastructure as a serious violation of international law and Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“These attacks and targeting of civilian infrastructure are a flagrant violation of the international law as well as sovereignty and territorial integrity of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and pose a serious threat to regional peace, security and stability,” the Foreign Office spokesperson said.

Pakistan reaffirmed its solidarity with the Saudi government, leadership and people and reiterated its “steadfast support” for the Kingdom’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, security and development.

The Foreign Office also stressed Islamabad’s commitment to promoting regional stability.

“Pakistan has been and will continue to make earnest efforts for achieving lasting peace and stability in the region,” the statement said.
