Pakistan Accuses India of Using Pahalgam Attack as Pretext for Unlawful Military Actions, Urges OIC Support

Jarida Report

On June 3, 2025, a high-level Pakistani delegation led by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari met with the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) envoys in New York to discuss the recent escalation between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam attack. The delegation, comprising former foreign ministers, ambassadors, and federal ministers, asserted that India used the Pahalgam incident as a pretext for unlawful military actions, including cross-border strikes targeting civilians and infrastructure. Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari emphasized that these actions lacked credible investigation or evidence linking Pakistan to the attack. He also expressed concern over India’s suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, labeling it a violation of international obligations. The Pakistani delegation called for the restoration of the treaty, adherence to the ceasefire, and the resumption of comprehensive dialogue with India, focusing on resolving the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. The OIC envoys appreciated Pakistan’s briefing and reiterated their solidarity with Pakistan and the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
