Mir Raza Ali Kidnapping Case Converted Into Murder Investigation

Jarida Report

Police have converted the kidnapping case registered over the disappearance of 25-year-old entrepreneur Mir Raza Ali into a murder case, adding Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code to the FIR.

Mir Raza went missing on July 28, and his body was recovered the following day from bushes near Shahi Qila Ground in Gulistan-i-Jauhar with a gunshot wound.

According to the Ferozabad Police Station SHO, FIR No. 795/2026 has now been amended to include murder charges following the exhumation and fresh post-mortem examination of Mir Raza’s remains.

Police said a new investigation team would conduct a fresh inquiry into the circumstances surrounding his death.

The development follows concerns raised by the victim’s family and their lawyer, Jibran Nasir, over the previous investigation.

Speaking to reporters after receiving the initial findings from the fresh post-mortem examination on Saturday, Nasir said the family had no confidence in the existing investigation team, including the AIG and SSP involved in the inquiry.

He said the family would seek the replacement of the entire investigation team and planned to approach the court with a formal request.

The case will now proceed as a murder investigation as police and forensic experts continue examining evidence surrounding Mir Raza’s death.
