Israeli forces demolished the home of Palestinian prisoner Dawas Hassoun in the occupied West Bank early Thursday, according to local sources cited by Anadolu.
The sources said Israeli troops had entered the town on Wednesday evening, surrounded the Hassoun family residence and ordered those inside to leave. Roads leading to the property were also closed ahead of the demolition.
The house was subsequently blown up early Thursday, causing extensive damage to the building, the sources said.
Hassoun has been in Israeli custody since March 2026. Israeli authorities accuse him of killing an Israeli settler in an incident approximately six months ago. The accusation remains an allegation in the account provided.
Separately, local sources reported a settler attack on the village of Attara, north of Ramallah, early Thursday. Two vehicles were set on fire, while racist and hostile slogans were reportedly sprayed on property.
Residents have reported a series of settler attacks in Attara in recent months, coinciding with the establishment of a settlement outpost close to Palestinian homes in the area.
Violence and Israeli military operations in the occupied West Bank have intensified since the Gaza war began in October 2023, alongside the expansion of settlement outposts, new roads and tighter restrictions on Palestinian movement.
