Intercity Transport Fares Reduced Following Cut in Fuel Prices

Jarida Report

Intercity transport fares have been reduced across Pakistan following the recent decline in petroleum prices, with revised ticket rates announced for several major routes.

Transport authorities said fares for destinations including Karachi, Hyderabad, Multan, Abbottabad and Dera Ismail Khan have been lowered to pass on the benefit of reduced fuel costs to passengers.

According to an official notification, the fare to Karachi has been cut by Rs910, from Rs5,060 to Rs4,150, while the fare to Hyderabad has been reduced by Rs850, from Rs4,720 to Rs3,870.

The revised fares have taken effect after transport operators were directed to implement the new rates across various intercity routes. Other major cities have also seen reductions in transport charges.
