India to reopen embassy in Kabul after four years

India has announced plans to upgrade its technical mission in Kabul into a full-fledged embassy, marking the first such move since the Taliban takeover in 2021. The Indian foreign minister said the decision aims to “strengthen regional engagement and humanitarian cooperation.”
