A high-level Pakistani delegation is set to participate in the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2026), one of Russia’s largest and most influential economic gatherings, which begins on Wednesday in the historic Russian city.
The four-day forum, running from 3 to 6 June, is expected to bring together government officials, business leaders, investors and economic policymakers from more than 130 countries to discuss global economic challenges and emerging opportunities.
Pakistan’s delegation will be led by Federal Minister for Energy (Petroleum Division) Ali Pervaiz Malik and will include Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, senior diplomatic officials and representatives from Pakistan’s trade and investment sectors.
