Government Raises Petrol, Diesel Prices Just One Day After Reduction

Jarida Report

The federal government on Tuesday announced a fresh increase in petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) prices, just a day after reducing the rates of both petroleum products.

According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, petrol prices have been increased by 88 paisas per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs382.02 per litre.

Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel has risen by 53 paisas per litre, taking it to Rs389.80 per litre.

The revised prices will apply on Wednesday, October 21.

The latest adjustment follows a reduction announced for October 20, when the government lowered petrol prices by Rs5.16 per litre and diesel prices by Rs7.69 per litre.

The consecutive revisions mean consumers will face slightly higher fuel costs on Wednesday compared with the previous day’s rates.
