The United States has described Pakistan as an important and reliable partner in the fight against terrorism.
The remarks came during a briefing to the US Senate committee, where cooperation against regional militant threats was highlighted.
The head of United States Central Command (CENTCOM), Admiral Brad Cooper, praised Pakistan’s role in counterterrorism efforts during his briefing. He said Pakistan is actively contributing to operations against ISIS-Khorasan in the region, with military cooperation producing “tangible results” against militant groups.
Admiral Cooper stressed that this ongoing partnership reflects long-standing ties and a shared commitment between Washington and Islamabad.
